Dear Valued Customer,
Effective January 1, 2018, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is requiring that the purchase of 30 lb cylinders of R134a and 10 lb. cylinders of R1234YF require an AC certification card (609 certification for automotive) or a signed resale agreement if the purchaser is purchasing the refrigerant for eventual resale.
We also require HVAC purchasers to produce an AC certification (608 certification for HVAC) for end users or sign a resale agreement if the purchaser is purchasing the refrigerant for eventual resale. If you are an end user, then you must show evidence that at least one technician within your company is properly certified. If you are a wholesaler that sells any refrigerant for resale you are legally responsible for ensuring that your customers fit into one of the categories of allowed purchasers under the sales restriction. Although the regulation does not specify precautions that wholesalers must take to verify the intent of individuals purchasing refrigerant, EPA recommends that wholesalers obtain a signed statement from the purchaser indicating that he or she is purchasing the refrigerant only for eventual resale to certified technicians.
If you are purchasing refrigerant for resale purposes from Refrigerants Center. Inc. please fill out the attached . Resale Agreement and it will be sent to alex@refrigerantscenter.com
**R134a 12 oz. cans and R1234YF 8 oz. cans are not subject to this sales restriction**
Changes with R134a 12 oz. cans - EPA is now requiring that small cans of R134a packaged after January 1st, 2018 be outfitted with self-sealing valves. EPA is not restricting the sales of the old style R134a cans, and therefore they can be purchased and sold with no issues until current stock piles are sold out.

Refrigerants Center, inc. Resale Agreement
I fully understand that I am purchasing refrigerants from Refrigerants Center, Inc. only for the eventual resale to certified technicians.
R-404A is a widely used HFC blend refrigerant, specifically formulated to deliver reliable, low-temperature cooling in commercial refrigeration systems. As a non-ozone depleting replacement for R-502 and CFC blends, R-404A is the industry standard for food storage, transport refrigeration, and other demanding low- and medium-temp applications.
Key Features and Benefits:
✅ Superior low-temp performance: Designed to provide consistent cooling even at very low temperatures—ideal for frozen food storage, supermarket refrigeration, and refrigerated transport.
✅ R-502 replacement: Perfect retrofit solution for systems originally using R-502, offering comparable thermodynamic performance with better environmental safety.
✅ Non-ozone depleting: R-404A contains no chlorine, giving it an ODP of 0 and meeting global environmental regulations for ozone protection.
✅ System compatibility: Works with synthetic lubricants such as POE oil, and compatible with many components designed for HFC-based systems.

Main Applications
Commercial Freezers and Cold Storage
Ideal for supermarket freezers, walk-in coolers, and industrial cold rooms requiring sub-zero temperatures.
Transport Refrigeration
Widely used in refrigerated trucks, trailers, and containers where stable and powerful cooling is essential.
Food Service Equipment
Found in ice cream machines, reach-in freezers, and frozen food display cabinets in restaurants and retail.
Note on Environmental Regulations
Due to its high GWP, R-404A is subject to phasedown under HFC regulations in many regions. It remains a crucial refrigerant for servicing and maintaining legacy systems. Always ensure proper recovery and handling in compliance with local laws.
